Rectification required. but cpc flag on

The same case has been happened with one of our client now. And the only resort is now to file appeal u/s 246A.

Usually most of the assesses are facing trouble like this. When the assessee received demand notice from CPC, and after particular period that return will be forward to the local assessing officer, and then the assessee will able to forward anything to that local A.O. but the assess will have to wait untill the local A.O.  will receive the particular return.

As Maruthi suggested, I would wait for AO to receive the return. If nothing happens in a month or 2, then probably I would go for 246A.

                The meaning of the word CPC Flag is on means that your assessee PAN is been migrated to CPC. I think that you must have filed the client latest return online because as soon as you file the return online your clients PAN gets migrated to CPC and the local A.O cannot view the client record in their system nor  make any changes. What i think is that you should talk to some senior CPC people and clarify ur issue or pay the Demand amount.
