I paid income tax on FD which was accured interest & savings banks interest including accured more than Rs. 10000 /-. So paid self assessment tax on the amount of Rs. 670/-.The amount of bank interest was not reflected in 26 AS. So send me notice of mismatch & send me demand notice of Rs. 670/-to pay again. Pl guide.

Self Assessment tax under section 140A shall be paid first and then return has to furnish by mentioning the challan number generated and BSR code..
Maybe you mentioned Rs. 670 as tax in your return but forget to mention challan number and bsr code in return.
That's why Dept. asked for payment of tax as mentioned by *you* in return.
Now check your return and see If this is the case then revise your return and mention challan number and bsr code and file.

I already paid Rs. 670 /-tax mentioned the challan no. & it reflected in 25 AS also. But the amount on which I paid (Bank interest) that was not mentioned in 26 AS. That was blank. So during rectification should I mention the bank interest I received, I have bank interest certificate. Pl guide.
