Hi All,

Is the 87 A rebate applicable for anyone whose total taxable income is less than 5 Lakhs ?

I have a friend who paid income tax of Rs 10000 in AY 2014 2015 , he didnt file ITR for AY 2014 2015.

Can he still claim this rebate and get refund of 2000 by filing belated return now ?

Yes he can claim , file return u/s 139(4) . Not that this return can not be revised so be cautious
