If an Ex Director who vacated office due to conviction by court want to be a director after seven years. Can he become a Director. As he is son of a Deceased Director and says he has right to be into the carried out by his mother and sister. But due to his mala fide intentions Board does not want him to be into the Board of Directors. How can the person be restrained from being the Director of the Company?

if conviction is less than 6 months then after 5 years he can be appointed as director
however, if conviction is more than 7 years so he is life time disqualified director for appointment or reappointment
