Another option to re set password:

You can now get new password at new email id without DSC by sending physical documents.Send documents to by Courier / Regd. post to :

DIT(S)-II,

A R A Center,E-2,

Ground Floor,Jhandewalan Extension,

New Delhi-110055

A assessee has to submit the following documents to reset the password.

FOR INDIVIDUAL :

1.Copy of Pan card

2.Address proof.

FOR OTHER ASSESSEE:

1.Copy of PAN Card of the company / Trust /Firm / HUF etc.

2.Copy of Proof of the Date of Incorporation.

3.Copy of PAN Card of the principal contact.

4.Copy of the one more Identity Proof issued by the Government Agency like Passport / Driving Licience / Voter ID Card / AAdhar card etc.

5.Authorisation letter issued using the in letter head of the Company/Trust/Firm/HUF etc.(having the address,telephone,mail id etc.)

After verifying the credentials,password will be sent to the new e-mail ID. The process will take about 20-30 days

Digital Signature is 'One of the Option', In fact it is not Compulsory to get the 'Password' of incometaxefiling website. We have some more options for getting this

Yes all over india.it can be used in India.

Thank u for informing new process . Till today.. . In urgency we can file incometax return online with taxcloudindia.com . It wilk not asj for any efiling password . . There after we can reset our incometax efiling password by itrv ackn no. And bankaccount numbr used in filing . So that we can use efiling website for later filings . . Find my below file /mobile/share_files/file-your-income-tax-return-with-out-password--59527.asp
