Rate issue
please give the rate of construction of residential complex is it 12% or 18%???

now reduced to 12, notification not yet issued. see cbec website
The rate is 18%. However where value of land is included there is an abatement of 1/3 value so it effectively comes to 12%. But the actual rate remains 18%.
last week it is announced by GST council. all works contract rate reduced. wait for notfn
Ma'am that was for works contract services given to government and local & governmental authorities.

The notification has not yet been issued. But that was the decision taken by the GST council in its 20th meeting held on 5th August.
