MGT 14 SHOULD BE FILED FOR APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR? IS THERE ANY DIFFERENCE FOR APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR FOR PUBLIC COMPANY AND PRIVATE COMPANY THANK U

There is no provision in the Act requiring MGT.14 to be filed for appointment of additional director.

There is no any difference while appointing director/ additional director in private/ public company except in Public companies, at time of appointment of director of the company in AGM/ EGM, a sum of Rs. 1 lakh need to be deposit by proposer of the director or the director himself with the company which shall be refunded by the company after the director is being appointed.
