I hope ur exams ur very well.

but if you any doubt about ur result my suggestion is do not go for BIG4. becoz their work  pressure is very high. and not even get a time for u to revise ur subjects.

in such case go for medium size firm you will get good exposure after u pass the ca final then go for big4.

approach is frdz, consultancy, handing over resumes thats it.

BIG4 is not the only place for exposure and work....there is lot of good CA firms all across the country...So focus on good exposure and not on Big4......Take the help from your friends for a good firm...

Think about it...All the Best

Further you have completed your articleship...so don't say in your interview that u r again interested in training...it sounds very stupid and reflects that ur vision is not clear towards your career....

As per my suggestion go for a job at a bit lower level...n do the required homework for working at ground level...slowly and steadly you'll be able to gether ur confi...and then decide accordingly....

Aap v to mere senior jaise hi ho.Isliye apse puch rhi thi lekin aap v thik bol rhe ho. Bhaiya I will definitely follow your suggestion

a suggestion

please do not underestimate yourself

even working in small firms can make u learn those things which a Big4 article does not knw

just for instance

i also belonged to a small firm not having any big exposure

but many of mine frds belong to big 4

while attending practical classes wid them ( esp DT and IDT )

I was shocked that the minor things which a cpt student knows ( just like wat is tin, tan , wat is karvy , wat is the number of pan form , wat is SCN etc etc )

they made me knw that in BIG 4s the work is being done based on checklists

they have to work according to pre established standards

and also they have some great exposure in Internal audits or foreign taxations

but the areas which we knw are somewhere lacking in my frds who wrked in big4s

through my experiance i just want to convey that

dont let yourself brutal by the wat people say

be your own judge

try to learn everything of something instead of something of everything

even filing a pan form/returns is an experiance

go ahead and update your knowledge wid business newspapers/ forums like caclub etc

after passing ca if u feel u want to learn more about any particular area or u want to go in any area for profession which u could not understand during ur present articleship like transfer pricing

then u can join big4s as they have great exposure in it

but do not try to extend your articleship period to say u have not learnt anything during articleship in small firms ..

take care

I WANT TO JOIN FOR INDUSTRAIL TRAINING.

i am supposed to join before december 15th.iam placed at mumbai and iam awaiting my final results in jan 2011. just tell me what should i do?

i actually want to increse my scope of work ..iam an article from big4 and have done stat and tax audits ..now last 9 mths will begin so i need to join for industrail training.just tell me is there something called industrail training from CA firms  , big4???]

till know have applied in some industrail companies from manufacturing sector and banking company. my prefernce is joining in credit management or treasury dept or forex dept in bank or taxtaion or corporate finance in mfg comp.

but the only job i hate is prepapring schedules and fin sattements and answering queries of an auditor----in industry i see many CA 's doing accounts job usulayy done by bcom person --in name of finance dept.

so just tell me if there is vacancy and furthur advice..

i have already 7 years experience in accounting & taxation field. now i am in ca final. my exam due date is may-2015, so i think i will go for industrial training in my final year in big 4 firm, is that good idea for me.
