Query regarding TDS Late payment procedure 26Q

Interest on a 2 month delay in TDS payment Got calculated Rs 2020.50 but We erroneously had paid Rs 1040 back in June. Now, 2 more months have passed. I need to know whether the Difference amount of Rs 980.50 is needed to be paid or the interest kept compounding in all that time.
