HELLO

MY QUERY IS...THAT ONE OF MY CLIENT'S RETURN FOR THE P.Y. 2008-09 HAS NOT BEN FILED YET.

I M GOIN TO FILE IT NOW.

THE PRESENT ADDRESS IS CHANGED .

AND THERE IS TDS REFUND.

SO WHICH ADDRESS TO MENTION IN ITR (XML FILE)

You can not file return now because limit has over now but you can file with penalty of Rs.5000/- u/s 271F

NOT AN ISSUE OF PENALTY.

BUT WHICH ADDRESS SHOULD I MENTION IN ITR.

Old address have to enter but you should update PAN information of home address as soon as possible you can. You have to submit PAN with changes in PAN.

hi tarang

as per section 139(4) if return is not filed within the time allowed under section 139(1) or within the time allowed under notice issued under section 142(1). the person may furnish the return of any previous year at any time befroe the end of one year from the end of relevent assessment year.

that menas return of F.y 2008-09 can be filed upto 2010-11.

that means in ur case u can file return upto 31st march 2011.

u have to mentioned old Address but at time of refund (after some time) a request letter for sending refund on new address may be presented before AO along with address proff.

it is advised to u get ur address changed as soon as possible.
