Query regarding rbi for conversion of public co. into pvt.

Dear Members,

A Company was formed as Private Limited Company in 1994 and it was converted into Deemed Public Company in 1995 and now we want to convert such Public Company into Private Company. And, this is the NBFC Company. Whats the procedure for intimation to RBI for such Conversion. As per Notification DNBS (PD) CC. No. 12/02.01/99-2000 first RBI approval is required for such conversion but Whats the documents will be filed for the same. If anyone have such documents or formats. I feel, there is no specific format for the same, your company got to write request letter for granting approval for conversion of public company to private company.

Before doing that, go to Regional RBI office under whose juridication the registered office is located, speak with concern officer and get format from them with regard to obaining of the approval from RBI for conversion of the Public Company into Private Limited Company.
