Query regarding final application attestation

Friends i am presently appling for final exams nov this year and in the exam application there mentioned the signature of the principal/ member of the institute actually my principal has gone out of states and may take  more than 1 month so can i  make it attested by any other institute member or only by the principal of the articled student.kindly help regarding this query
