Query regarding appointment of employee as director

Dear All,

If a whole time employee is appointed as a Director of the Company on the remuneration as that of employee..then whether that employee will be whole time Director ?? In my case daughter of director was employed in the organisation as an employee..necessary resolution under section 317- directors holding office or placeof profit was passed.Now if she is appointed as Director then whether she will be whole time director??
