Dear Team,
I am salaried individual. I get HRA as part of my salary , but since I have not deposited the rent slips,Full amount of HRA is taxable.
I want to ask, Can I claim it in return of Income and If yes then what is the procedure for it.
Because if i show it in exempt allowance U/s 10 then there will be mismatch of total taxable salary income from 26 AS. and in that case Income tax department can ask for reasons of mismatch from 26AS.
