Query on Calculation of EPS as per AS-20

Hi !!

I have a small query regarding the calculation of EPS as per AS-20. If the shares are alloted on odd days for eg. 23.10.2010 or 13.07.2010, then while calculation the weighed avg no. equity shares outstanding, whether we can count form the next month i.e. in the previous case it would be from 01.11.2010 i.e. 5 months. Or is it mandatory to calculate it in exact days.

Please advise asap
