Take 50 for each exemption to make total. If such aggregate is 50 % or more u r pass. In ur case it isn't 50 % as min. This rule is very streng so exemption is in fact a punishment as u r good in the subject.Hence many candidates surrendered the exemption if they found diff. to make 50 % as aggregate in remaining subjects.
