Query about mvat/cst registration
In the month of August 2016, we have started a partnership firm at Pune.
Still, our firm is in prototype development stage so our sale & turnover is zero.
But in last month, 20th Jan 2017, we have purchased raw material from interstate (Gujarat) which costs 10,000 INR.
For my above-explained case, do I need to register for MVAT/CST ?

for local i.e. in maharashtra limit is 10 Lacs

Ya I also suggest you for smooth transmission to GST you should refister both for CST AND MVAT
