Hi Aakansha,

I will suggest go for your second group first than going directly for articleship as it is hardly a matter of 3 months from now. Concentrate on studies and not on finding the CA firm.

And, you can join the CA firm for your training immediately after your May 2012 exams.

If you feel that you can manage CA Articleship with 2nd group studies, then you can start searching for Articleship.

Final choice is yours.

Prepare thoroughly for Group 2 exams for two months and join articleship in the middle of april 2012 to take advantage of appearing for final during articleship period itself. To make my point clear i quote the ICAI guidelines " appear in the Final Examination on completion of practical training or while at serving last six months of articled training on or before the last day of the month preceding the month in which the examination is to be held ". Exams are usually held in May & Nov. So if you join in April 2012 you are eligible to appear for final exams in Nov 2014 while you are doing your articleship. You can save six months time . Hope you understood my point. suppose you join after your May 2012 exams your first chance to appear for final exams will be May 2015. Remember time is money.
