I have applied for cancellation of registration on 09/11/2019 on account of closure of business..And entered the same date i.e.09/11/2019 in date from which registration is to be cancelled..I have received the query that Date from Registration to be cancelled is correct.Please enter correct date.Kindly provide the solution.
You have to input 31.10.2019. if you key in 09.11.2019, your cancellation request will be processed only after filing november return on or before december 20th. hope you have filed returns till october 2019. then proceed to file cancellation request by entering date as 31.10.2019
As per Circular 69/43/2018 GST & .Rule 20: taxpayer applying for cancellation of
registration shall submit the application in FORM GST REG-16 on the common portal
within a period of 30 days of the „occurrence of the event warranting the cancellation‟ That means the Date of application can't be effective date of cancellation. , so you need to put Greater date for from effective of cancellation date.
