Articleship 1060 views 3 replies
Hi all,

I am MBA (Finance), I wish to do CA.  I need some clarifications in this regard.

1. Can i write & pass PE-1 before Article-ships?
2. When should i do the Articleships? before PE-1 / PE-2 / Final
3. I have been working in accounts in a BPO company for 4 years.  Should i do article-ships since i already have experiance in accounts function?
4. I was told that there will be some papers exemption in ICWAI, for MBAs.  Is there any exemptions in CA papers, for me?

Best Regards

Hi Narasimha,

Good to know that you want to pursue CA. It has few subjects which are thaught in MBA program, Why do you want to enroll in PE-1? you can directly enroll for PE-2, Articleship can be only done after you complete your PE-2, only after completing your Articleship you are eligible for Final. Dear narsimha

My self Rahul Srivastava buddy if u r an MBA finance you must be around 22 years old what my suggestion is that you should not waste time in studies now MBA (Finance) is a nice degree. If u start ca now it will take around 3-4 years when every attempt cleared in first shot so analyse your self and rather than pursuing ca you can join International college for Financial planning. It is a 1 year course. It iss conducted by all te top companies of security mutual funds. For more details log on to www.collegefp.com

Hi Narasimha,

I agree with Rahul that the course duration is very long and it really takes time and dedication to pursue CA, since you are an MBA, you might be aware of this. You can look out for courses which are not that time consuming. But I think there is no course parallel to CA currently in India. If you are looking out for jobs abroad then better pursue something which is internationally recognised.

But if you are sure why you want to pursue CA, then thats the way to go. Proper guidance, study time, dedication and focus can easily make you achieve your goals. Apart from all this CA is a distance course you can study at your own pace and time your examination.

Best of Luck!

Regards.
