I think RBI approval is required in case of foreign fund or loan from foreign individual or entity.

Yes you can reecive foreign funds as consultancy fee but not as loan.

For loans there are seprate guidelines which are called "External Commercial Borrowing "guidelines which you need to adhere before receiving the funds.
