Purchase voucher
Hi.
As per accounting rules, puchase voucher is created in case of purchase of goods on credit.If in cash, receipt voucher must be created. However, tally says purchase voucher can be created on purchase of goods on credit or cash both. Which 1 is correct?

If your purchase is cash purchase you put cash in party name or whether purchase is cash or credit in both case your purchase voucher is created if you pass this entry in cash voucher it is not conceptually correct.
Sorry i mean payment voucher....can we create payment voucher in lieu of purchase voucher as the purchase is on cash basis
