Quick Summary
This discussion explores the legal consequences of manufacturing cigarettes without the necessary excise licence. Participants discuss potential punishments, including imprisonment for up to 7 years, fines, and even interest on duties. The possibility of bail is also addressed, with the consensus being that while initial bail might be possible, it becomes non-bailable once guilt is proven.
Both depeans upon the circumstances as per my knowledge imprisonment upto 7 years or sometimes extend to 3year with fine or without as per circumstances and penalty equal to 50%of duty sometimes interest too
Most of them are without bail I think. You can get an initial bail, but once judgement is given proven guilty, it’s non bailable. Cigarettes 🚬 is harmful, rcm is not applicable because ppl will start manufacturing using toxic wastes.
