Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the mandatory nature of PTRC/PTRM enrollment under GST for businesses, particularly marketing agencies. It explains that PTEC (Professional Tax Registration Certificate) is compulsory for all businesses operating in Maharashtra. The post details the annual tax amount, interest rates for delayed payments, and penalties for non-compliance. It also advises on the periods for which backdated payments may be required.

If you have employees having salary above 7500 p.m , it is compulsory to register under PTRC.

PTEC is mandatory for business.

It is a compliance required under law so nothing to discuss about advantages. There is no Disadvantage either.

If you do not comply, interest and penalty shall follow.

Annually Rs. 2500 tax , interest @ 1.25% p.m for first 30 days delay, 1.50% p.m for next 60 days and 2% p.m thereafter. Penalty not payable if registered voluntarily before initiation of show cause notice by govt dept.

Yes it is required for your business.

Am i right?
If you were doing business even before that, then you have to pay for those years also.

For now, you need to pay FY 1718,1819,1920 AND 2021.
