At the starting of job , the baic salary was less than rs.6500 and pf was deducted , thereafter the basic pay got increased to rs.7500, in this situation what is the liability of pf to be deducted? can the employee now refuse to deduct pf from his salary and what is the liability of employer in this case

Yes not applicable!! However it should be from begining of joining date of employee or starting of establishment!!

Employee cant refuse to contribute PF. Even employer is alos bound to contribute pf after wages for PF exceeds Rs.6500/-

PF appliccable upto 6500, above 6500 calls for exemption!!

Dear Sir,

I have again a querry to be clarified.

An employee drawing a salary of Rs.4200 /- is covered under PF and on later stage when he crosses Rs.6501/- can the employer limit his employers contribution upto Rs.6500/- only and employee continue to allow employee deduction for the full amount (Say rs.8500/-) .

More specifically

An employee drawing a salry of Rs.4200 initially. Pf is dedicted @ 12% for this 4200/- and equal amount cnotributed by employer.

On a later stage when the salary increased to 8500/-, employee allowed his deduction @ 12% on his full salary 8500/- and employer only given his contribution on 6500/-.  Is it possible ? . OR employer also should cotribute for full salary of 8500/- as the employee strated with  4200/-.

Thanks in advance

Gopakumar
