Proof of employment

Normally ,the companies take last three months salary slips and copy of offer and appointment letter .

You tell why you need so because it depends on the nature of  organisation demanding it

I need this information because a foreign employer (company), he's asking for such kind of proof. Since they don't know indian rules they're asking for a sort of legal document as a proof of employment.

Should i show them my PF number: Is this a legal proof?
