Is director included in the definition of "employee" for the purpose of deducting professional tax?

Dear Fatema,
Yes..Directors are liable to pay professional Tax. As far as EDs go, the company will deduct the same from their salary.
As far as the Non ED are concerned, they will have to pay it in their personal capacity.
