Hi,

I would like to know the process and procedure for sale of imported goods in the domestic market. I am basically looking out for the following

1. goods imported into India and sold to a registred dealer in India  - who can take the credit of receoverbale taxes and how?

2. goods imported into India and sold to a trader  in India - who can take the credit of receoverbale taxes and how?

3.  goods imported into India and sold outside India(sale benig not high sea sales)  - what taxes are applicable and how to handle the recoverable taxes during import.

4. goods imported into India by a trader and exported (sale benig not high sea sales) - what taxes are applicable and what is to be done with the recoverable taxes at the time of import.

I have checked the excise and customs manuals give on the cbec site, i could not find them.

thanks in advance.

Only registered dealer can pass the excise duty after import of goods. After import dealer can export the imported goods and they can take the benefit of cvd and custom duty.

Hi Arun,

Thanks for the update. Can you tell the process for this case

Manfacture imported goods and taken the claim, after some realizes that the goods are not required, plans to sell them in the domestic market. At the time of receitp of goods he has taken the claim of cenvatable taxes, now when we sell does he need to charged taxes, if yes what taxes?

What would be the process is the manfacture has not taken the credit but decides to sell them down the line?
