Premises of menf. unit

A is a manufacturing unit covering the large area and has taken the registration for his whole premises. Half of his area is not in use.

Can he give his half premises (for which he has taken Excise registration) on Rent as a Warehouse to other ? Is there any permission is required to take from the concern AC / DC Central Excise?
Further, also provide the relevant rules / provisions in regards with the same .
