Is it mandatory to add a women in property to avail PMAY benefit even if it is first property in my and my brother's joint name?

The mandatory condition for female head was amended on 27-06-2017; so the loan that has been sanctioned after this cut off date the property registered in name of single name will be eligible. Before this cut off date it was compulsory to have the name of wife or mother or unmarried sister and in extreme case if none of them be there and after you give satisfactory proof of the same you were eligible for the same.
