PPOB DOCUMENT FOR GST REGISTRATION

A client of mine wants to get registered in GST. The problem is with the PPOB, the property is owned by his dead grandfather and their are two heirs to the same property, his father and Uncle. Now the electricity bill as proof of address is also in the name of the owner i.e. dead grandfather. My query being what can be used as proof of ownership of PPOB?

Quick Summary
This discussion addresses a common challenge in GST registration: providing proof of address (PPOB) for a property inherited from a deceased relative. When the property ownership is shared between two heirs and the electricity bill is in the deceased's name, alternative documents are needed. Accepted solutions include using the grandfather's will naming the heirs, or amending the electricity bill to reflect the current owners. The key person's details can also be used if they are clearer on official documents.

You can show the Key Person your client and His uncle or Father as a Representative, or Vice versa who's details in documents are more clear. and Also get amendment in Electricity bill by BSES/TDDPL or State board of your state
You can also use the will of the grandfather in which the name of the father and uncle is written.
