HI FRNDS CAN ANYONE TELL ME THAT PPF AMT RECD ON MATURITY IS TAXABLE & IF WE EXTEND THE MATURITY PERIOD FURTHER THEN CAN WE CLAIM TAX RELIEF

Amount received at the end of the 15th year is tax free. If you extend your A/C for another 5 years then also treatment is same.
Amount received at matutity is TAX- FREE. Go ahead open your PPF A/C.
PPF is 15 year scheme..Most of us has a prepception that PPF is a 15 Year investment plan .But this is a fact that it can be extended to indefinitely but subject to 5 year block at a Time .
