Son lives in the USA. He gave Poeer of Attorney of a residential house property to his Father, Mr. Joy.

Mr. Joy is in receipt of monthly rent of Rs. 15,000/- from the tenant residing in the above mentioned residential house property.

Query 1. Does Mr. Joy have to show that Monthly receipt of Rs. 15,000/- (Annually Rs.1,80,000/-) in I.T. Return as House Property Income?

Query 2. Does Mr. Joy's Son have to file an I.T. Return?

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies tax obligations when a son living abroad grants his father Power of Attorney over a UK residential property. It addresses whether the father, Mr. Joy, must declare the monthly rental income of £15,000 in his tax return, or if it's considered the son's income. The query also explores whether the son needs to file a UK tax return, especially if he has no other UK income.

The rent is not joy's income

if the son is not having any other income then he need not file return
Ok thanks.
