Post office sb interest exemption under section 10(15)

I hope there is exemption upto Rs.3500 exist under section 10(15) for sb interest from post office saving account.
do we need to show it under exempt income upto Rs.3500/- and if it exceeds 3500 then amount in excess of 3500 added to income from other sources. correct me if this understanding is wrong.
