I have the below query.
A belongs to Andhra Pradesh (AP) and is having GST registration in AP. He has imported goods to Chennai Port.
if A is having customer in Tamil Nadu, can A supply goods to his customer based on AP GST registration.

As per section 11a of IGST Act, THe place of supply in respect of imported goods is the location of the importer. Therefore, the goods are deemed to have been supplied to A in AP by the foreign based supplier. Therefore, A can make interstate sale on payment of IGST.
