I am project finance manager and by qualification I am engineer + MBA. I have been doing project financing till now but now I would like to explore Accounting profiles also.
Plz suggest which would be a good book covering topics like:
Finalization of statements
Consolidation of statements
Preparation of MIS
Financial planning and analysis
Cash flow management, etc.
Also, do Accounting books also have information about direct / indirect taxation and audit aspects?
Any help on this plz?
If I were you, I would have learnt the topics mentioned (by you) practically
from a training institute for there is a whale of difference between the
content in a book and the way it's worked out in real life.
Nonetheless, books would take you closer to the real aspects.
My suggestion for books:
Direct Taxes - V G Modules (Several modules are available topic wise, so buy the
module based on your requirement).
Indirect taxes - Bangar.
Auditing - Urvish shah or VK agarwal (on a serious note I wonder why would
an engineer ever get in to audit)
For finalisation and MIS I wouldn't mind to teach! If you are serious mark me
a PM. May be we could work out.
