Actually both questions have some confusion, I think question should be New Profint/Loss Ratio of A & C is 5:3 and we need to find out gaining ratio of A & C from part of B.
Answer of 1st Problem
New Ratio is 5:3 i.e.
A = 5/8 and C=3/8
And old ratio is 4:3:2 i.e.
A=4/9; B = 3/9 and C = 2/9
Now we find out gaining ratio of A & C due to retirement of B
Gaining Ratio of A & C is = New Ratio - Old Ratio
A's gaining ratio = 5/8 - 4/9 = (45-32)/72 = 13/72
C's Gaining ratio = 3/8-2/9 = (27-16)/72 = 11/72
i.e 13:11
So option 'a' is correct answer
Now we moveing on Second Problem
When B retire, he also get his part of goodwill i.e 10800*3/9 = Rs. 3600
Now A & C sacrifices for Rs. 3600 in gaining Ratio 13:11
So A sacrifice for Rs. 3600*13/24=Rs. 1950
and C sacrifice for Rs. 3600*11/24 =Rs. 1650
So option 'd' is correct answer
