MY DOUBT IS ABOUT IGNOU-ICAI MOU........I CLEARED PCC IN THIS MAY ATTEMPT......I WANT TO GO 4 BCOM(DISTANCE )...SOME OF MA FRNZ TOLD THAT A FINAL STUDENT ie PCC CLEARED STUDENT CAN SECURE B COM DEGREE BY WRITING 3 PAPERS ONLY THROUGH IGNOU-ICAI MOU.........CAN I GET B COM DEGREE AS SOON AS I REGISTERED AND PASSED THAT 3 PAPERS...????OR SHOULD I WAITE FOR 3 YEARS AFTER WRITING THOSE PAPERS?????PLZ HELP
The program is known as B.Com(A&F). It is provided by IGNOU which is exclusively for CA students. Basically if you have cleared both groups of PCC/IPCC, you have to write only six papers instead of the normal 18 papers. The requirements to get the degree are as follows:
1. Pass CPT and PCC/IPCC
2. Submit 6 assignments (one for each paper) and Pass the six papers which can be written in one shot.
3. Complete your articleship fully. Only then do you get your degree.
There are two cycles/sessions- January and July. If you join the Jan session, you can write it in the following December. If you join July session, you can write it in the following June. E.g. for Jan 2010 session- exam in Dec 2010 and for July 2010 session, exam in June 2011.
