I am serving my articleship in Mumbai. I have taken many leave. so i want to know how period served is to be calculated.
In my firm we calculate hours served on weekly basis at the end of our articleship (i.e. after 3.5 years). like
1st week (1.01.07 to 7.01.07) = 42hours (period worked)
2nd week (8.01.07 to 14.01.09) = 36 hrs (period worked)
My firm follows bank holiday system.
In full year there r many holidays then if i count as per my firm norms then that holidays are counted as leave. for e.g.
If I am working 6.5 hrs a day then in 6 days I will be working for 36 hrs {(6.5hrs*6 days)-lunch break @ 30 min per day for 6 days)
But if there r 2 holidays in that week then my period served will be {(6.5 hrs*4days) -lunch break @ 30 min for 4 days}.
So please guide me in my period served calculation
