A friend of mine cleared his PE II in May 2008 and registered for articleship on 6th October 2008. He was clearly told by the officials at his local ICAI chapter that he was eligible to appear for May 2010 Examinations . Also there was speculations about some rule coming into force about giving Final attempt after 18 months of articleship. But now he is having doubts whether he can really appear for May 2010 examinations. Please clarify on this point at the earliest. Thanks in advance.
