Please ensure the total of Deduction u/s 54F must match the same in Table D

Update: The error was due to a bug in Income Tax portal. It is now fixed after recent maintenance updated.

Perhaps you are using ITR-1.

Table D is in Schedule CG, which is available in ITR-2, 3, 4

Hi there,

I have bought a house & took loan while buying it. I recently got to know that I can claim tax benefit for LTCG assets under 54F.

My loan amount is 50 lac & property value is 70 lac, can I adjust LTCG against the entire value of house after purchasing?

Solution:- Go to >>B(I) Long term caital gain (LTCG)

3) From sale of equity share in a company or unit of equity oriented fund of unit or a business trust n which STT is paid under section 112 A. In this you have option b:- deduction under sections 54F (specify details in item D beow )  ensure the value here is same as the value in d. Deduction claimed u/s 54F "Amount of deduction claimed"
