PF Registration (MCA)

Knowledge resource 159 views 1 replies

Hello,

I have incorporated a company after 08.10.2020 through MCA using the AGILE form. During incorporation, I had selected the option for EPFO registration. However, till date, we have not received any establishment code.

We raised a query with MCA and were directed to approach the EPFO office. Upon visiting the EPFO office, we were informed that as per their records, the organization is not registered. Unfortunately, they were unable to guide us on an alternative process to register the company for PF.

If anyone has faced a similar issue or is aware of the resolution process, kindly guide me.

You're definitely not alone in facing this issue—several companies have reported similar experiences after opting for EPFO registration through the AGILE form on the MCA portal.

Since February 2020, EPFO and ESIC registrations for new companies have been integrated into the MCA incorporation process via SPICe+ and AGILE-PRO forms2.

However, technical glitches or data mismatches can sometimes prevent the establishment code from being generated or reflected in EPFO records.

Here’s what you can try next:

Check MCA Acknowledgment: Ensure that your incorporation acknowledgment or AGILE form submission shows EPFO registration was selected.

This will be useful as proof. Contact EPFO Regional Office with Documentation: Visit your jurisdictional EPFO office again, but this time carry: A copy of the Certificate of Incorporation The AGILE form submission proof MCA acknowledgment PAN and TAN details Politely request them to escalate the issue internally or provide a manual registration route.

Raise a Grievance on EPFO Portal: Use the EPFiGMS portal to file a formal grievance. Attach all relevant documents and clearly explain the issue. Email EPFO Helpdesk: You can also write to employeefeedback @ epfindia.gov.in or try contacting the MCA helpdesk again with a reference to your previous ticket. Alternative Route: If all else fails, consult a professional (like a company secretary or legal advisor) who can help initiate a fresh EPFO registration manually via the Shram Suvidha Portal, though this is typically restricted for companies incorporated before the MCA integration.
