Friends

I have a query on PF.

The company paid salary for the month of January on 11 February 2016. It booked the salary cost in books of account in first week of February. The salary pertains to January 2016.

The issue is if the PF is to be deposited by 15 February or 15 March 2016.

Please advise.

As the salary pertains to the month of January 2016, the employer is under obligation to remit the amount by 15th February 2016.
