Quick Summary
This discussion explores how an unpaid personal loan is treated in accounting. Initially, it's considered a liability until external confirmation. Some suggest treating it as income in personal books, while others argue it should be capitalised. The consensus leans towards it being treated as income, especially for significant amounts, unless it's not formally recorded.

It will be under liability till the external confirmation received.

You may need to treat it as income

If no confirmation is received then it remains as loan under liabilities
