07 May 2009If a company pays fixed car maintenance charges to its employees per month, car being provided by the company, is it taxable as perquisite or allowance. The amount so paid is over and above the salary and not included in Form 16. Is the Company liable to deduct TDS on the said amount u/s 192.

it is perquist in the hands of specified employees only yes tds has to be done
