Supplementary bill should be issued from same invoice book. No permission or intimation is required for issuing any supplementary invoice.

What is Supplimentary bill ?

if there is any change in excise duty at the time of raising supplementary invoice  , which excise duty rate is applicable.

Eg : Excise duty in January is 12% . Excise duty of March is 8%, in between that the excise duty had reduced to 10%  and 8 % in the month of February and March respective. Which rate i have to pay excise duty, Either the releavant excise duty or the Chargable excise duty in the present time.

The rate applicable at the time of remival of goods from factory, i.e. relevant date of assessment of excise duty.

A party registered with Centreal Excise on Nov,2010, he started to charge Excise duty @ 5% till Dec'2011, I  Jan'2012 he become get to know on his finished good excise duty rate is 10% instead of 5 %. Party submit the difference amount of Excise Duty. Here our question is can party issue the supplimentry bill to delaers to whom he made sale of excise duty rate diff. and also can those parties to whom we will issue the bill of rate diff can take CENVAT. Is there any provision or circular regarding issue of supplementry bill in Central Excise Act and if yes please tell us.
