Hi, I have completed 1 year articleship, But recently I got a central government job. I want to do the job for 4years and prepare for CA final while doing the job and then take a study leave of 2 years to complete the rest i.e 2years of articleship. My question is Will my 1 year of aticleship remain valid after 4years, and i just have to re register for the remaining period i.e 2years or do l have to again go for complete 3 years articleship.Plz reply.

Yes. U can split period. U should renew your registration periodically.get also termination signed by principal and submit without delay

Thanks, for the quick reply. It will be nice then, But are you sure about this. Do people do like that. But I have heard that one needs to do the re-registration of articleship within 3 years of articleship termination, otherwise the already served articleship period becomes invalid and one has to do the articleship from the beginning.Which CA regulation mentions about this. Will be grateful for your reply

Icai expects that students get continuous exposure, practical training with studies during the period. But deviations are accepted for good reasons. Go ahead and comeback later.all the best

plz guide me with the procedure i m facing the same problem and i have  6months remaining of y articleship.
