I THINK YOU ARE WRONG BECAUSE FROM EARLIER 3.5YRS IS THE TOTAL PERIOD
No only a committee is constituted by ICAI to consider the matter , no decision is announced yet
FOR PCC ARTICLE PERIOD IS 3.5 YEARS AND IT IS TO BE CONTINUED
The committee will reduce the articleship period only after the first Cpt articleship period get finished... (dec'06 to june'10) just few months for their last six months...
Why it is delaying ya ?....

i even hard that pcc students will be allowed to appear final in last 6 months of articleship

No Only committee is constituted, decision is yet to be taken.

Its wrong re..Articleshp period is 3.5 yrs only...and its 3 yrs for IPCC students..
Its 3.5 years only.
