Period of articleship and excess leave ??

Dear concern,

I have started my article ship on 19-03-2012 and worked for 1 year and 9 months.In such period i took leave of 97 days and took termination on 19-12-2013. After 13 days(on 02-01-2014)i have joined under my new employer.

I have received registration letter stating that i have registered under my new employer and i took 20 excess leaves till 19-12-13(date of termination). From 02-01-2014 to til the completion of my article ship i took leave of 15 days of leave.

My doubt is

1)What period should i mention in form 108 as my article ship period ? Either 19-03-2012 to 18-3-15 or 02-01-14 to 18-3-15 ?

2)How many leaves should i mention in form 108 ?

3)Did i taken excess leave ?? If yes how many days i have to serve more ?

1) 2-1-14 to 18-3-15 (Your present CA can certify for only that period, for which you have served under him)

2) 15 days (logic is same as above)

3) No, you didn't. Maximum leave allowed to an article is 180 days during his 3/3.5 yr of training. In your case it is 97+15=112 days. https://icai.org/new_post.H T M L?post_id=792

wait for more views on point no. 3. Consult your regional ICAI office. And please NOTE a very very important thing- don't overwrite/use whitener in form 108. Fill the form in one go. don't make any mistake. Even writing over the text to make them more clear or visible is considered as overwriting by ICAI. Use separate form in case you have made an error. Else they will reject the application and afterwards its very difficult to get completion certificate from ICAI as you will be scuttling between institute and your home for repeated times. I have made this mistake hence a caution of word for you
