Perfectionism......

Inspirational 387 views 6 replies

A few years ago, my aunt showed me how to sew a hem. Her stitches were small
and regular, and she was fast and precise. My stitches and technique were quite
the opposite. I started to complain about how bad I was doing. But my aunt
answered: “Who do you think you are? Do you think that you can sew a perfect
hem the first time you try? It took me years of practice to be this good. Are you a
superhuman? Don’t be so proud!”

Perfection, what we strive for (perfect body, perfect behaviour, perfect job, etc.), is an impossible quest. Instead of trying to be perfect, let’s try to be a little bit better. It’s more human, more achievable. A little bit plus a little bit goes a long way, and before you know it, you have reached the stars.

Very Nice Sharing...!

I think...Nobody is perfect! Nobody can be perfect..but you can try to be as close as you can. You are yourself and that's just how it is, nobody else is exactly like you so don't try to do something you know isn't you...the more perfect you are.. the smaller you make ppl around you feel...!

Agree with the aunts observation Vandana ji, no one can be perfect in this world, except the almighty. We must strive towards the goal to get as close to perfection, though it's impossible, but at least one should learn the art gradually. You need to keep practising over a period of time and should not expect things to look orderly right from day one.

Nice share....

Thanks you All for your comments.........
